Foley's Folly

Another leader falls. The irony this time is exquisite. Here we have a congressman, Mark Foley, who crafts legislation regarding sexual predators of minors, who may eventually be convicted by his own bill. You can't make this stuff up. But this is terrible. As my good friend tells me, I am forever disappointed in the behavior of others because I assume people do the right thing. Honesty, integrity, morality. Is it really too much to ask, especially when children are involved? What Foley did is reprehensible; what those in leadership positions did--or did not do, as we are coming to find out--is inexcusable.
